Holland is one of those places that surprises people.
It looks like a quiet lakeshore town — and it is — but there’s actually a lot to do, especially if you know where to look. My last tour told me they wish they stayed a few more days because they did not expect there to be so much to do!
Come let Holland suprise you!
1. Walk Downtown Holland (8th Street)
Shops, restaurants, breweries — this is the hub.
2. Visit Windmill Island Gardens
Yes, it’s touristy. It’s also worth it.
3. Holland State Park / Big Red Lighthouse
Classic Michigan views.
4. Take a Brew Tour
If you enjoy beer, this is one of the easiest and most fun ways to experience downtown.

5. Tunnel Park
Great views, especially at sunset.
6. Centennial Park
Right downtown, easy to stop through. I walk you through this and explain its hidden features on all of my tours! Book here!
7. Farmers Market
One of the better ones in West Michigan. This Farmers Market is sensational. Deffinately do not want to miss this.
8. Dutch Village
One of my favorite places to bring the kiddos.
9. Grab Dinner + Drinks Downtown
I always suggest Boatwerks or Hops. Both are excellent choices with great atmosphere.
10. Catch a Sunset on Lake Michigan
Be sure to get anywhere early as the beach will fill up. The last thing you want is to plan a trip to the state park and see the big sign saying it is full (yes, this happens often).
You can pack a lot into a day here — or just slow down and enjoy it. Want me to help you plan your trip? Shoot me a message here!
